For most growers, the move away from purely manual pruning doesn’t happen all at once. It tends to happen gradually, often in response to changing conditions within the operation.

It might start with a larger block coming into production, or a tighter pruning window that puts pressure on time. It might be driven by labour availability, or simply by the realisation that the physical demands of pruning are becoming harder to manage across a full season.
