Kiwifruit shelter improves crop quality..and yeild.

Pictured here is Glen Ericksens new Hydralada Elevating Work Platform on rubber tracks putting up shelter on a kiwifruit block in Te Puke.  "This is working well especially in the wetter conditions we encounter from time to time" says Glen.  "Its not only rain, but overhead irrigation is often used for frost protection and can make ground conditions challenging" .   The rubber tracks mean the machine has a lighter footprint while still maintaining optimum stability and traction on sloping ground.  "We always order our Hydralada machines with diesel engines"  says Glen.  "On a per hour basis they cost us very little to run".  Check out www.hydralada.com or ask Jason Smith for more information.  jason.smith@hydralada.co.nz  Also follow us on Facebook.
